Jephthah admits students into JSS1 every year through a structured entrance examination process. Places are limited. The process runs from March through July, and it starts with filling out our online form, or one purchased directly from the school.
Every student admitted into Jephthah goes through the same process. There are no shortcuts and no backdoor entries. This is how it works.
You can access the JSS1 admission form here on this admissions page or purchase it at the school. They are not available through third parties. Visit the admissions office at Km4, East-West Road, Rumuome-Ozuoba, Port Harcourt, to purchase a form and speak with the admissions staff about the school, how it operates, and the fee structure.
Return the completed form with all required documents before the deadline. Ensure the primary school leaving certificate, birth certificate, passport photographs, and recent academic report cards are attached.
All JSS1 applicants sit a written entrance examination conducted at the school. The exam tests English Language, Mathematics, and General Knowledge at the Primary 6 level. Students must be prepared before they arrive.
Students who pass the written examination are invited back for an oral interview. This allows the school to assess the student’s readiness, communication, and alignment with Jephthah’s Christian values and academic expectations.
Successful candidates are issued a formal admission letter. This letter confirms the student’s place and outlines the next steps, including fee payment, the resumption date, and items to bring to school.
Jephthah regularly admits students from the UK, USA, and Canada whose parents send them to Nigeria for secondary school. The school is set up to receive and support international students through the boarding programme.
